Well what an incredible afternoon for Cornwall Blood Bikes as our stalwart supporter Anne Shaw hosted yet another fundraising event on Sunday 16th December 2018.
The afternoon saw more than 45 beautiful dogs and their humans take part in a variety of 22 classes all judged by retired West Cornwall Supervet Steve Otty.
The afternoon saw a huge selection of wonderful home baking for sale which was appreciated by all with very little left on the trays.
Great auction prizes including a fabulous festive hamper of goodies kindly donated by Sainsbury’s, a bottle of Camel Valley Champagne, and two superb home made Christmas cakes.
It was great to have the presence of CBB volunteers Ian Butler, Mr Mark Holroyd, Martijn Huddlestone, Brian Reynolds, Chris Polawski and on duty advanced fleet bike rider Julie Morris.
Thank you to John Penlerick for stewarding the entire event.
The afternoon was truly humbling for all the volunteers that took part, as the support from everyone was just incredible.
The afternoon raised an outstanding amount which was in excess of £1,200.00
Thank you so much to every single person who gave donations, attended the event, baked or helped in anyway at all to make this event such a success.
This is a phenomenal amount which will help keep our fleet bikes serving our hospitals and hospices across Cornwall.
Congratulations to the Best in Show and Reserve Best in Show winners, but you all took the best dog home.
But the biggest heartfelt thanks of all must go to Anne Shaw, where tomorrow we will tell you why this afternoon proved to be so very special for lots of reasons.
