CBB at The Royal Cornwall Show 2018

The Royal Cornwall Show is well and truly over for another year.
It’s time to reflect on CBB’s three days at this iconic highlight of the Cornish calendar year.
A very big heartfelt thank you to our volunteers James Forder (2 days), John Penlerick (3 days), Ian Butler (3 days), Jayne Penlerick (3 days) Geoff Crocker, Steve Mason & Tony Symons.

We have had the most wonderful time meeting so many of you and your families who have taken the time to stop by and learn about what we do.

To have all three of our BMW 1200 RT(p)s that have been purchased with the Provincial Grand Lodge of Cornwall grant was very special.
“Spirit of Cornwall” proudly stayed for all 3 days on the Freemasonry of Cornwall stand.

We are absolutely delighted that the Province won third place at the show for best trade stand. They were congratulated for true interaction and communication with the public. Very well deserved for all their exceptional communications team and all the Freemasons in Cornwall who work so hard to support all deserving causes and charities like ourselves.

We had some very special visitors in the form of Mr. Stephen Pearn, Provincial Grand Master, Dawn Tame-Battell from our dear friend’s at Cornwall Hospice Care, BABA the Birth & Baby bear, with our NHS partners at the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust and Royal Cornwall Hospitals Charity who stopped by to say hello to our volunteers.
Thank you so much to all the nurses who took the time out of their day to pass on their sincere thanks to our CBB volunteer riders.
So all in all yes we are tired, but we would not change a single thing. 2018’s Show has been incredible!

Cornwall Blood Bikes strive to help our hospitals and hospices, and by the amount of people working in these environments that stopped by to say our riders are making a difference to patient care.

So signing off from #RCS18 with so many thank you’s especially to PGL Cornwall for their wonderful hospitality and generosity, but also our volunteers. A special thank you to our volunteers spouses who also helped with the pack down and any support that is needed. This is a true reflection of how we all receive such support from our families that enable us to do what we do.

Cornwall Blood Bikes are dedicated to serving the communities of Cornwall, but we cannot do it without your outstanding support.
Thank you to everyone we have had the pleasure of meeting over the last three days and for being beside us for every mile of our journey.
Best wishes to all those we have met and enjoyed the company of from all the team at Cornwall Blood Bikes Stand No: 172
We look forward to seeing you 6th-8th June 2019…..
