On Saturday 23rd June Cornwall Blood Bikes had a remarkable day at Damerells Motorcycles with their official handover presentation of our three BMW 1200 RT(p)s funded by the Provincial Grand Lodge of Cornwall.
There were many distinguished guests present but for us there were two very special visitors in the form of Sarah & Ellie Rossiter.
Sarah is the widow of Steve Rossiter, who was tragically killed in a motorbike accident near St. Austell last October.
Steve was a much loved husband, son, brother and dear friend of many.
The family asked for donations to be made to Cornwall Blood Bikes.
Sarah & Ellie met with CBB Fundraising Manager Ian Butler & CBB PR Media Liaison Jayne Penlerick to present a cheque for the wonderful amount of £436.63
Ellie proved herself to be one outstanding young lady & was a little nervous of the large bikes to begin with, but took it all in her stride and didn’t take long to have a photo opportunity
Ellie has now taken on the challenge of fundraising for CBB herself and this Thursday will see her selling her handmade greetings cards & gifts with all proceeds to CBB and Penhaligons friends.
Serving our community is always a pleasure but when you get to meet remarkable individuals like this young lady it’s really a true privilege.
A very big thank you to Sarah, Ellie and all Steve’s family & friends for donating to CBB in his memory.
