Cornwall Blood Bikes have very kindly been nominated by the committee of the Martin Jennings Memorial run, we are nominated alongside Cornwall Air Ambulance.
We feel truly privileged to be nominated by the committee once again and we look forward to sending along 16 of our Cornwall Blood Bike volunteers to the start area for this iconic motorcycle run and to help with the fundraising.
Cornwall’s Largest and Favorite Motorcycle Charity Ride which takes place annually on the 2nd Sunday of September unless it’s postponed due to
weather to the next suitable Sunday
Meets 8.30am for 10am start at the new Eastern Park and Ride,Truro, Cornwall
Dave Saunby organises it on his own each year, with help from members of the MJMA (Martin Jennings Marshals Association).
It’s a great day out, great atmosphere and raises a lot of money for the chosen charity each year.
A lot of people line the roads to watch well over a thousand bikes on the run
It does have a serious side where Dave has a minute silence for Martin Jennings who lost his life competing in the 1987 Isle of Man Manx GP, and all other bikers who have lost their lives on the Cornish roads.
All Dave really asks is to remember it is a Charity/Memorial ride not a race, to respect that, and ride responsibly and enjoy the day.
