Penadlake & Lethtyp open their grounds in aid of CBB

For the last eight years, Beth and Gordon Roberts at Penadlake, and Faith and Philip Hambly at Lethytep have joined together, in order to open their grounds to raise funds for medical charities.
On the 1st & 2nd June the gates of Lethtyp & Penadlake were open to around 400 visitors from all over the country. The weather was kind and the woodlands, lakes and wildflower meadows enchanted everyone with nature creating a stunning display for all to enjoy.
It was a most successful weekend and visitors could enjoy a cream tea or hot soup, all followed by a choice of cake.
There were many helpers, all of whom give freely of their time and culinary skills.
The lead for the catering was given by members of the two local churches (Connon Methodist and St Marnarch’s Anglican)
As well as enjoying the wonderful culinary delights, many visitors could not resist a photo opportunity on one of the Cornwall Blood Bikes impressive emergency fleet bikes. The days saw CBB volunteers Geoff, Terri, Dave, Paul, Alan, Julie, Ian, and Kevin greeting the public and explaining what CBB do as a charity.
The total raised over the two days was a magnificent sum of £4,814.00 with £200.00 donated to both the churches that assisted.
Faith & Philip Hambly & Gordon & Beth Roberts wish to acknowledge the many willing volunteers who gave their time and expertise, without their help these events would not be possible.
We truly cannot do without the wonderful support of people like Faith, Philip, Gordon & Beth and their great team of helpers.
£4414.00 is a fabulous sum of money with every single penny helping to keep the CBB wheels turning across Cornwall, and in turn help someone you may know and love
