Special Guests of Cornwall Blood Bikes

On the 22nd July 2018 a superb day dawned across our marvellous County of Cornwall, and on that day it could not have been better to showcase our beautiful County for some extra special guests of Cornwall Blood Bikes.
Back in April last year, CBB held our spectacular fundraising charity gala evening at The Alverton Hotel, Truro.
As part of that evening a charity auction took place which raised an outstanding sum of over £2,500.00
Within the prizes up for grabs, was the chance to be the guests of Cornwall Blood Bikes and experience being a pillion under advanced riding skills.
Today our two pillion winners were the guests of Cornwall Blood Bikes.
Ben & Becky started the day meeting CBB volunteers Ian, Jayne, Brendan, Andy & Julie at the famous Chapter 1 diner for breakfast.
Ben even had chance for a photo opportunity on a blood bike, as on duty fleet bike rider Steve was just leaving on being tasked with a job in the East of the County.
The ride set off headed by the lead Julie, and the pillions on Andy & Brendan’s Bikes could not have been happier from the offset.
The ride took them all along the coast, stopping for a customary ice cream at Portreath, before heading all along the north coast.
The lunch stop was at that famous iconic Cornish landscape St Michaels Mount at the Godolphin Arms, before heading to Helston, Falmouth and working back to our original starting point.
The day seemed to fly by, with many miles covered and the smiles on Becky & Bens faces never faded for the day.
Neither had ever ridden pillion, so it truly was an experience.
Thank you to our CBB volunteers Andy Bellamy & Brendan Hale for looking after your pillions so well and giving them such a special day, and experience for them to cherish forever.
A very big thank you to our very own Tony Symons for planning such a fantastic route and also to Julie who lead the whole ride perfectly.
That wonderful day truly showcased the safe and advanced riding skills at their very best that CBB strive for at all times.
But the biggest thank you goes to our pillion ride winners Becky & Ben for supporting our charity in this way to help keep our wheels turning.
We are very proud to be a Cornish charity and today some of its volunteer riders & special guests had the opportunity to ride this fabulous counties countryside of which we have the privilege to serve.
A great day was had by all.
